Wholesale VoIP Carrier Vitelity Focuses on Network Expansion and Growth
When it comes to meeting the needs of businesses of all sizes, it’s all about the services for Colorado-based CLEC Vitelity. The company, which specializes in wholesale hosted PBX, mobility, messaging and other enhanced communications services, is working on growing its network and strengthening its message this year.
TMC Executive Editor Paula Bernier got a chance to sit down with Cheryl Huff, marketing manager at Vitelity, at the recent ITEXPO Florida 2016 event. According to Huff, the company has been primarily focused on adding new features to meet the needs of their business customers since being acquired by wholesale telecom services provider Onvoy in 2014.
“We try to cover all the solutions that a small, medium or large business would need,” said Huff. These include wholesale VoIP, fax and SMS services geared toward service providers meeting the needs of SMBs as well as residential customers. Additional offerings include local origination and international DIDs, global termination, toll-free calling, vFAX services, flat rate or channelized virtual PRI services and E911 calling.
Huff said that Vitelity will be rolling out a number of new services as well as product enhancements during 2016. The company will also focus on creating a more robust and user friendly website along with increased content creation and educational materials providing customers with basic information on VoIP services.
For its part, Onvoy has been focused on growth and expansion during the past year, becoming the third largest CLEC in the U.S. In October, the company acquired Layer Communications, a communications enabler for OTTs, MVNOs and voice service providers. The previous month, Onvoy scooped up large CLEC Broadvox, greatly expanding its network with an increased focus on wholesale VoIP services.
