As The Economy Opens Back Up Enterprises Turning to Open Source Software

COVID-19 challenged not only the economy, but also enterprises’ existing frameworks for how, when, and at what volume people use information technology. Enterprises increasingly have been pivoting to open source software solutions in 2020 to meet their remote organizational needs and address new market demands for quality and speed.

Open source software is different from other types of software, as its authors make its source code available to others who would like to view that code, copy it, learn from it, alter it, or share it. This strong feeling of community, as well as other benefits such as control, training, and security, are some of the reasons more organizations today are tuning to open source.

Collocated with Miami, Florida-based ITEXPO, the Open Source World Summit will take place from June 22nd to June 25th. Open Source enthusiasts from all over the world will be at Open Source World, as the community gathers to share their Open Source passion. Hear the latest Open Source news and project updates, gain access to in-depth technical sessions, participate in networking opportunities, meet potential collaborators as well as review and discuss detailed case studies of Open Source projects.

Speakers will be focusing on a wide range of topics pertaining to open source software over the three day expo, allowing attendees to,

  • Examine real-life applications of cloud solutions that can enable you to sell more
  • Get the inside track on battle-tested sales tips & tricks
  • Learn how to prepare your enterprise for the future telecom distribution model
  • Discuss new ways to use video

Offering flexibility unheard of in the world of proprietary communications, Open Source empowers developers and integrators to create advanced communication solutions, for free.
