ITEXPO Gets a New Keynote Speaker
Tomorrow's the big day for many information technology (IT) professionals out there, as this year's ITEXPO event starts off in earnest. A new report suggests that the show will be just a little bigger than expected, as one more keynote has been added to the roster thanks to Vertical Communications CEO Peter Bailey, who will deliver said keynote at ITEXPO.
Bailey's presentation, “Cloud 2.0: Creating Customer-specific Services that Enhance Workflows,” will offer insight into how businesses need to reconsider the value currently being provided by legacy communications systems thanks to a growing array of new cloud-based options. Since these cloud-based tools are increasingly cost-effective as well as more flexible overall, the value inherent in such tools is becoming more pronounced.
Since many businesses often take an “if it ain't broke, don't fix it” stance to communications tools, that often requires a little extra promotion of the value proposition to make users move from a communications system that's doing the job now to one that could do a whole lot more instead. This leaves cloud-based communications providers with the difficult task of showing just how valuable a system like this can be, and Bailey will offer insight on how to get that job done.
ITEXPO itself, meanwhile, is set to run from February 8-10 at the Broward County Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Bailey's keynote won't be the only one, as a host of others will be on hand, along with product exhibitions and networking opportunities to provide insight into a variety of topics related to communications and beyond.
Having Bailey in as a keynote speaker on cloud-based systems and the opportunities these can offer businesses is particularly fitting; Vertical Communications has long dealt in similar opportunities, and Bailey can likely readily detail how its own customers have taken out legacy systems and replaced these with useful new cloud-based systems. Nothing succeeds quite like success, so for other businesses to take a page from Vertical's book may be just the thing that's needed. It won't work everywhere, of course, and it's a safe bet Bailey won't detail every secret of the company's success to potential competitors, but that little extra insight may prove useful on at least some fronts.
That's the ultimate point behind ITEXPO; extra insight that can be taken back home and put to use in everyday operations. That kind of insight is worth its weight in gold and then some, and the place to get it is at ITEXPO.
